WHAT WE OFFER
The Platinum Zone (TPZ) offers classes in jazz, tap, classical ballet, acrobatics, lyrical, stretch and conditioning, a special needs class, adult dance fit and our specialised preschooler classes through Ada’s Little Gems.
Our staff are all highly qualified and have years of industry experience so that you can ensure your child is getting the very best quality tuition ensuring safe dance practices. Our teaching staff all have police clearances and current working with children cards.
We hold an optional annual professional end of year concert where each student is invited to showcase what they have learnt throughout the year for their friends and family.
Classes are held in the fully equipped air conditioned performing arts centre at Northam SHS. The centre features a professional dance floor to absorb shock to the joints and prevent injury. Some classes are held in the town hall which is also fully air conditioned and provides a suitable dance space.
TPZ is a friendly family environment where class numbers are capped to ensure your child receives individual attention. Join our team where every student is included and valued.
OUR PRICES
Classes are charged for by the term and follow the school terms. Term fees are calculated on the number of weeks in the term. The below price guide is an example of a ten week term. Fees are due and payable within 14 days of receiving the invoice and all fees are non-refundable. A $45 per family non-refundable enrolment fee is payable at the time of enrolment. Enrolment is not secured until this fee is paid.
These prices are based on a 10 week term. Cost can vary depending on the number of weeks in the term.
Little Gems Ballet & Acro - $100/term - $10 per lesson
Little Gems Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop - $110/term - $11 per lesson
All other classes - $120/term - $12 per lesson

Little Gems package – All three little gems classes for $275.00/term
3 class package – Choose any three classes each term for $330.00/term
4 class package – Choose any 4 classes each term for $400.00/term
5 class package – Choose any 5 classes each term for $450/term
Unlimited class package - $520.00 per term

OUR UNIFORM
Correct uniform and grooming is of great importance. It instils team pride and allows teaching staff to be able to see and ensure correct placement, lines and posture. TPZ colours are fluoro yellow and black and we encourage the wearing of these colours to classes. We have a full range of TPZ uniform items and studio jackets available to order. Correct dance shoes are to be worn at all times in all classes. Please note dance shoes are made to fit very tight and snug on the feet. Wearing dance shoes too big can cause injuries and damage to the feet. Leotards and tight fitting crop tops, leggings and shorts are acceptable dancewear. Little ones may wear dance skirts and fairy dresses etc if they wish. Hair is to be tied back and pulled right off the face for all classes. Excessive jewellery should not be worn for safety reasons. Our classical ballet classes require a plain coloured leotard, pink ballet tights, pink ballet pumps and a tight neat bun.
CLASS VIEWING
Due to the distraction of multiple people in the classes we advise that watching of any classes is not permitted. Parents are welcome to wait in the foyer if you wish to stay while your child’s class is on.
COMPETITIONS
Competitions are a great way to gain stage experience and have a lot of fun. TPZ competes in a variety of competitions each year. Students can compete in solo or duo/trio events. Competitions are a really rewarding experience but do require additional classes and commitments. Pre-requisite classes are required to be taken to be eligible to participate and private lessons must be taken at further costs. If you are interested in your child participating in competitions please let us know so further information can be provided.
EXAMINATIONS
Examinations are a great way to improve dance technique and to move through grades with the required technical skills increasing with each grade taken. Examinations are only open to the more dedicated students prepared to travel though as examination classes are only available in Perth on Saturdays. More information available on request.
